Thanks to the energy of Maintenance Lead, Nigel Craine and the expertise of our Technical Team – Mark, Graham and David – we’re pleased to report the success of Boleh’s winter work programme. The highlight was Graham and David’s refurbishment of the interior powertrain, saving the Trust over £3k. The Cabin Roof, where rot was discovered, has been repaired, repainted and the anti-slip coating refurbished. The teak deck hatch covers have been repaired by Now Marine and the 2 remaining hatches most professionally refurbished by Graham.
Finally, Boleh was lifted out at Victoria Quay for routine cleaning of her hull, anti-fouling touch up, and anode replacement by our volunteers. While ashore, a new main halyard winch was also fitted. Picture shows a gleaming Boleh ready for return to her natural element and Haslar Marina where winter work will conclude with the mandatory rigging survey. We are very grateful to the generous funders who support this work programme and of course to our wonderful Technical Team and volunteers.
