We’re delighted to report that local company Tecsew, whose publicity material describe themselves as ” a ‘can-do’ organisation”, have enhanced our ‘Boleh 75’ initiative with a splendid gift of bespoke cockpit spray dodgers.  Founded in 1981 by Managing Director John Blunt and based in Lee-on-Solent,  the company design and make high quality marine canvas and upholstery, including yacht covers, boat canopies, and sail covers.

John and his wife and fellow Director, Ally travelled to Haslar Marina to present the dodgers to our Vice Chair and Lead Skipper, Richard Metcalfe, with former Chair, Henry Middleton also present.  Handing over the dodgers, John said “Tecsew is proud to support the Boleh Trust.  Boleh – meaning can do in Malay – is a fitting name for a remarkable vessel with an inspiring history.”

We are very grateful for this generous gift which not only draws attention to Boleh’s 75 year history but also shields the helmsman from quartering seas trying to make their way inboard!  Picture shows John and Richard making final adjustments to Boleh’s new dodgers as she readies herself for the Season ahead.
