As a start to the Season, we’re happy to report Boleh was able to thank those who look after her 24/7 when alongside in Haslar Marina. The Boatfolk team are the unsung heroes of the Trust’s operation, so it was a real pleasure for our Ops Director Craig and volunteer Mate Charlie to take team members (picture) out on the Solent.
Despite the lack of wind, it was a very successful day with many interesting stories to share. The team made the most of seeing Boleh in action during the crossing to Cowes and back, and enjoyed a fish and chips lunch and beer in the Duke of York garden.
We really appreciate the interest shown in Boleh by the Haslar Boatfolk team and the almost personal connection they have with her when looking after this historic vessel. Later in the sailing programme, Boleh deploys to Portland in support of the Chesil Sailing Trust’s ‘Sail-for-a-Fiver’ scheme for Dorset schools. While there she will again be in the care of Boatfolk, berthed in the Marina at Osprey Quay!
